long story short promise.

we were doing jus fine up until i caught him lieing to me about the little things. for example (myspace) he would tell girls how beautiful they are and how he wants to hang out with them.

He never told me i was beautiful. id like to think that i am.

but it never bothered me that he did that until i would catch him stayin up all night talking to these girls, and text them. i never controled him but when i would question him about what he was doing and why.he would always tell me he didnt know and that he was jus tempted, but he always made me feel bad by telling me i dont trust him and im mean to him... he's my first love and he did this to me 4xs. i forgave him over and over again. im not good at being friends with my exs but he insists i should try. am not doing a very good job at it because i still act as if we're together. is this also bad?. please help me.

You can't put a time line on feelings,you are holding on to the good memories,just remember a relationship is a 2 way,make sure you treat yourself how you expect,I was in a committed relationship,forgave,suspected cheating numerous times,then I suffered a disabling setback and BAM,apparentley I changed,think of your future good luck!

I think you should work on your self esteem. Anyone with a healthy level of self esteem wouldn't let someone treat them like this and would realize they deserve better! I'm not putting you down at all, because I've been there and know it hurts and feels better to be in his life in someway rather than not at all. But I also know that the sooner you get away from him the easier it will be. Try to spend time getting to know and love yourself with the help of your girlfriends. Good luck!!!
