My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years and most of the time everything is great. We spend just about every day together and enjoy being with each other as we are truly best friends. We communicate well and also rely on each other in difficult situations. I know that I want to be with him forever but some of his actions make me wonder how he feels.

I am constantly having doubts as to whether or not he truly loves me. He is 32 and I am 26 and he still doesn't know if he wants to marry me. He tells me that he thinks about it and thinks about our future but doesn't know for sure. I also think that he likes attention from other girls and likes flirting with other girls...he has a myspace account that shows his profile as being single and accepts friend requests from random girls. He also doesn't have any pictures of me around his house, at his office, or on his myspace which makes me think that he is hiding our relationship.

Im not saying he doesnt love you. Im sure he does. But I think he may not feel that you are the one for him. The total package. I think you may just be buying up time until he has the courage to tell you this verbally.

His actions say alot. People who are in secure relationships (ESPECIALLY FOR 3 YEARS) dont need to ask this question.

If it were me, I would make up a fake myspace account and message him. Ask him if he is single or in a relationship? And see if he flirts with me on myspace. You can tell alot about a person by what they put on myspace or say to strangers on the internet. BUT, that might make things worse for your relationship if he finds out. And it is a bit dishonest. If he has been with you for 3 years and hasn't asked you to marry him, then chances are he doesn't want to marry you.

Here are my questions to you Lucy ...

Are you enjoying your relationship with your boyfriend? If it's great most of the time, why not enjoy it the way it is? Why change or possibly ruin what you have now? Why can't you just enjoy what you already have?

You say you want to be with him forever ... You don't have to be married to stay with him forever. Why do you have to be 'married' to stay with him forever?

If your relationship is truly based on love, then being married won't make him love you any more than he does now.

Lucy, quite frankly, in today's society there isn't any benefit to a man to be married.

My suggestion ... enjoy your relationship the way it is now or risk losing it forever. Your choice.

that doesn't sound like love to me .it seems like he's embarrassed of you then you said that he appears as single hes making himself available to other girls on my space.most guys he's age already have a family or are married what is he waiting for wait till hes 90 to find someone to settle down with. i think your wasting your time with him move on he clearly just wants to have you on the side.
